Poker.com Review

Editor’s Observations: Poker.com is one of the newer Poker Rooms, being launched in early 2004. They did something no other Poker Room has ever done, they polled thousands of poker players to find out what the player wanted in a Poker Room! Then, they built their software to accommodate. Apparently they succeeded as they were awarded “The Best Online Poker Site for 2004” quite an accomplishment to say the least! Bright colorful graphics, very user friendly, smooth functionality, soft competition, $5,000 in daily FreeRolls make this the #1 choice to download for First Time Players. Our highest recommendation.
Features: Daily $5,000 in FreeRolls; one $3,000, two $500, and 5 $200. A $2,000 “bad beat” jackpot, daily “high hand bonus” for Hold’em. Lots of ongoing promos, growing every week. One nice feature is their instant payouts to Neteller, the only poker room we know of to offer this.

Game Variety: All the standard game choices of Texas Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo, 7 card stud, 7 card stud Hi-Lo, plus 5 card stud. 1 on 1 game availability in Hold’em.

Software/Graphics: Developed after polling players what they wanted in a Poker Room. What they came up with is IMHO the most appealing graphics, colors and user friendly Poker Room software there is. Neat features include: Ability to sort available tables by stakes, blinds, number of players, wait, average pot size, flop percentage and hands per hour. Ability to “tag” your opponents with 6 identifiers as: fish, shark, buddy etc. Plus, a chat option if you like to jabber at your opponents.

Tournament Traffic: Is growing steadily currently around 2,000 during peak.

Ring Game Traffic: A little low but growing fast at around 1,000 to 1,200 during peak.

Rake: Standard for the Industry at 5% for the most part never exceeding $3, lower on the lower stakes and short handed tables.

Promotions: Again, $5,000 in daily FreeRolls, satellite tournaments, new ongoing promos are always popping up. Lots of Sit-n-Go’s. Generous 30% sign-up bonus up to $200.00.

Support: Excellent support with live online, e-mail support and phone support.

Deposit/Withdraw Options: Deposit; VISA, Mastercard, Neteller, FirePay, Western Union, PrePaid ATM. Withdraw: Instant withdraw via Neteller (recommended) Firepay, check.

Editor’s Recommendations: An absolute must play for First Time Players. A very pleasant Poker Room that is fast growing and has fairly soft competition giving Newbies a good chance to win some $$$. Poker.com is one of the Top 20 Poker Rooms in the world so don’t be misled by the medium size traffic volume, it is an opportunity! Veteran Tilters will also enjoy the soft competition and atmosphere. Our Highest Recommendation.
